The older Masseto usually have the 'slatted' top and rounded knobs. The faceplate will not have the proscenium artwork , but you may see the newer top with this older faceplate.

• The Masseto can be modified to add a mono phono input at the cost of a stereo input. This has been done by Ken Shindo for at least one client.
Remove the hot leads from a chosen stereo input.
Jump the left channel of the phono input to the left channel of the chosen stereo input.
Jump the chosen inputs' left and right channel tabs together.

Around 2010 the front panel was reworked to add the gold-outlined proscenium a motif Shindo started using after 2007. The top plate and knobs are changed ( you'll see either 'flats' or 'cones' ) and a through-plate LED is added next to power switch. Most noticeably the top adds rings of holds above the line stage tubes.

The Masseto is removed from the Shindo website in April of 2016.
